Don't Look Deeper (2022): Interesting series where the protagonist slowly discovers she isn't human, figures out how to deal with that (often badly), and then it all starts breaking down. Way more about people than future technology. Slow but pretty okay.

Old Boy (2003): Guy gets kidnapped, then released after 15 years, and goes to find out who kidnapped him, presumably to kick their asses. Someone told me this is his favourite movie. I have no idea how. I couldn't make it 30 minutes in before I turned it off out of complete boredom. Downright awful.

Fast Color (2018): Neat concept for a superhero film, that degrades into the usual trope about underground superheroes running from the government. Not bad, but not great either.

Synchronicity (2016): Yet another time travel movie where the protagonist changes stuff that directly affects him. No real surprises here, kinda okay. Weirdly, it has Michael Ironside in it, playing basically himself.

Enhanced (2019): Low budget superhero thing, kinda okay.

Multiverse (2019): Kinda low-budget but surprisingly well done movie about intersecting worlds/timelines. Lots of plot twists, some of which you'll see coming, some not so much.

The Tomorrow War (2021): Bleh. I'm not quite sure why they needed to go forward in time when the problems were backward, but whatever. Boring.

Thunderbolts (2025): I actually went into this with no idea who any of the characters were, and not even that it was a Marvel movie. It was pretty okay - kinda fun in the action way, and you kinda almost care about some of the characters.

John Wick... all of them: Took me a while but I finally got around to finishing all of these. They're exactly what you think they are: a very thin plot that makes very little sense but that everyone is very very serious about in ways that make no sense at all - but that's not the point, is it? You don't care about that, that's not why you're here. You're here to see some absolutely amazing ass-kicking and stunt work.

KPop Demon Hunters (2025): To my complete suprise, this was actually pretty good. The animation gets very comical at times, but it's done really well. And it's even a good story.

Pacific Rim (2013): Mechs vs. Monsters - kinda decent homage to old Japanese monster flicks. Ridiculous and absolutely predictable... but I do tend to like Idris Elba in everything, so there's that.

The Dark Tower (2017): Speaking of Idris Elba, him playing Roland is actually pretty great! So... I have not really liked a single Stephen King book, and despite having read the first three Dark Tower books, I didn't actually like them, at all... And given that they're huge, there's no way a single movie could ever do this justice.... but I actually liked this. It's not great at all, but I enjoyed it and it was nice to see an interpretation of the world.

Argylle (2021): Outright ridiculous and over-the-top but intentionally so - it's a parody of spy movies, of course. Aaand then the plot twists in a way I totally did not expect but really should have. And then it gets even more ridiculous, but you're already in, so may as well just enjoy it for what it is. Fun overall, but again, it's ridiculous.
